First Flight RecordingsFirst in flight recording from Tetrho (quadcopter). Early flight.
I have a new WizNet W5200 for Parallax QuickStart. I'm currently developing code to design a few "Internet of Things" items. If I have it running you should be able to see what is going on here: http://97.85.45.216:8080/ More to come as things are discovered. --- Edit: Updated IP address. We have been featured on EEWeb's Engineering Site of the day. Check out the announcement here: http://www.eeweb.com/websites/electronpotential If you use an Android phone with location services turned on Google is tracking your location. Want to see where you have been? Just go to https://maps.google.com/locationhistory/b/0 and log in with the same account that you use on your phone. The map will show you where you have been for the last day, week, or even month. Now, this works best if you travel long distances or in areas with a lot of cellular phone towers, but should show up some general locations even if your travels are minimal. Is this amazing, scary, or some of both?
I recently purchased parts to provide a proof of concept of replacing some lanterns with high efficiency LEDs and boosting the total light output in the process. Here are some preliminary views of these lights in action. This is by no means a scientific study, but dose provide an initial proof of concept that indicates it will work. These pictures were taken with the cameras settings manually controlled. Note: In the first set of images the LED is sitting on the floor and the CFL is suspended from the ceiling. In the second set, both are suspended from the ceiling. Here is a picture showing just how bright the LED is. This is with a piece of standard copy paper to simulate a diffuser.
Have you ever wondered what it would look like to look out from inside a clock? Well, here is your chance. We just got back from a trip to London and Paris. One of the locations we visited was the Musee d' Orsay or M'O for short. This once grand train station has been turned into an art museum, and you can look out one of the clocks over the Siene and toward the Louvre and some of the city of Paris. A picture of the side of the clock you normally see can be seen below.
Ever wanted one of these "Like" buttons on one of your own websites so others can share your page with their friends? Well, you can have one, and no, not just a picture of one like above either, a real functioning "Like" button. The steps are fairly straight forward.
1] Go here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/ 2] Fill out the form and click "get code" 3] Copy the code to your page. That's it, now you have your very own Facebook "Like" button. Yesterday I replaced a keyboard in a laptop computer that had a case of the Zs. For some reason it shipped from the factory with two letter Zs. Then to add additional confusion the second Z, which was where the S should have been, was from a different font and in a different location on the key. A picture is below so you can see for yourself.
After receiving the replacement keyboard from the manufacturer it was simple to replace. Just remove the battery, the main bottom cover, and then a single screw holding in the keyboard. Install the new keyboard and then reverse the process. |
